ink and sky

an unlikely fragrance
art gum and printer ink
through sheer frost
bind a waning vision
of dark crows on winter sky

hour upon hour
a veil of simple snow
falling without reason
I feel an urgency
to risk everything I know

An unexpected rhyme that rises organically in a poem is a most powerful device. Dickinson used it sparingly.

Well done.
