keen eye, Dottie - cool and congratulations Melissa, Barbara and Sprite.
I also have to say, I liked Sanjuktaa's swirling moon a lot too.
very cool moon viewing ku across the planet by all the party goers - fun - aloha.
Thank you, Rick and congratulations to all three winners!
Sprite's 'birthday moon' is very open-ended... and amusing to turn over in the mind. Is it just the moon as it has always been? Yet the moon is usually feminine. Or the Man in the Moon, then? Or is it a little boy's/son's birthday, and he's just now out of the bath? Provided Sprite is male, it could even be the poet talking detachedly about himself. For better or for worse, it is already all of these things!
Re: The good lady Sprite's birthday moon - "suffered" another birthday myself last week, and having invited some to join in the pain, this may have been the result.
We were taken with the allusion to self-examination this poem renders.
Only coming to those comments very late. Interesting to read what one's own words can trigger in others.
Thanks again Dottie.
