I've been chasin' this down for ten years. Ten Years! I'm so bloody angry ...
Twice a delegate for Ron Paul's Presidential candidacy, seeking anyone or any damn organization, even so called anti-war "affiliations" but no one has the moxie to abandon all the social and political *issues* that leech on to any any so called "movement". Their is no movement.

Look up AUMF. This is a US Congressional procedure we've been lacking for some time now. What it means is Authorization for Use of Military Force. That's the vote we should take if, say, we wish to destroy another two million lives in the Levant and surrounding regions. It appears "we" do, from the antics portrayed in the accompanying video. It also appears there is zero interest in Congress either.

Btw, I was being facetious. The people behind the last four administrations wouldn't mind killing a few million people - they already have. In my name, if you lump US citizens together. Hello US citizen readers. You're all murderers. Anyone offended?

Apparently not. Well, look at it this way. See the antics on the screen. We KNOW you like your Youtube. That's the precursor to nuclear war. Yes it is. Don't argue. You'll lose. Here's another ditty. The US military/security establishment believes we can win a nuclear war. They've been preparing for some time now. N. Korea is a ruse to install armaments to oppose China. How's your confidence now, Amerikan?

There were 30 Representatives in the House who signed a letter petitioning to place a vote for AUMF. Actually, what that really is , is a vote to remove the current illegal processes from one person back to the Congress where it lawfully resides. That letter was signed in 2015. It sits in limbo some where. It's premise is likey the key to our survival. Why? Whatever your "opinion", how long before one of these "experts" makes a mistake? It's happened already. You are lucky to be alive at this very moment. Do you care, or don't you?

Good luck.

To the Editor;

In a weirdly convoluted fashion, S.J. Res. 23, Congress' passage of a resolution in 2001 to use military force against the perpetrators of the 9/11 terrorist attack, has now devolved into a Dystopian license to kill. Without an honest reappraisal mandated by, until now, a silent and stymied public, Congress would ignore its duty and our Nation's honor, ad infinitum.

Anyone or anything, viable enemy or innocent bystander, may be willfully destroyed, claims the tough talking General, US Defense Secretary James Mattis. Apparently, with no legal consequence, either. All in an alleged pursuit of an elusive mercenary army recruited primarily in response to US foreign policy, the active core of which is of its own creation. Make that the U.S., and, a coalition including the region's former Colonial masters harboring their own malcontent agendas. While all the while with bluff and bluster they continue to train, equip, supply, and foster this hypothetical villainy, raising suspension of disbelief from the ridiculous to new heights pathologically sublime.

The number of human lives already resigned to collateral damage now resides in the area of 1.5 million non-combatant persons. The bulk of these, unavoidably dead, of a nation we know now to be unjustifiably invaded under pretense proven false. Will things be different this time; will victims and their kin now attain acceptance, enlightened and appeased by their own dark, morbid submission?

Is General Mattis just being "tough"? Referring to the terrible vanguard of synonomous noms de guerre, He claims the USA will now "strip them of ,,, legitimacy ”; a variable quality - today polls show a majority's approval to maintain this untenable and circuitous course.

After 9/11 's "limited" Resolution, and without our knowledge or by admission, our tenuous policy, not at all bereft of such permissiveness, is morally and subversively counter to our Constitution. Only a small faction exists in Congress ready to put to motion a call for Authorization for Use of Military Force as prescribed in the Constitution. The dead have no such legitimacy, nor do they vote. We, on the other hand, may advance far beyond their legacy to one entirely pitiful, more sinister than sincere.

.
S.J.Res. 23, formally titled in Section 1 as the “Authorization for Use of Military Force,” was thus passed by Congress on September 14, 2001, and was signed into law by the President on September 18, 2001:

"The floor debates in the Senate and House on S.J. Res. 23 make clear that the focus of the military force legislation was on the extent of the authorization that Congress would provide to the President for use of U.S. military force against the international terrorists who attacked the U.S. on September 11, 2001 and those who directly and materially assisted them in carrying out their actions. The language of the enacted legislation, on its face, makes clear — especially in contrast to the White House’s draft joint resolution of September 12, 2001 — the degree to which Congress limited the scope of the President’s authorization to use U.S. military force through P.L. 107-40 to military actions against only those international terrorists and other parties directly involved in aiding or materially supporting the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. The authorization was not framed in terms of use of military action against terrorists generally.'
